Chelsea Virtual- Virtual Assistant

BIOGRAPHY

Born and raised in Westchester County, I earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting from Iona College. For ten years I worked in the private accounting sector in the banking industry. I worked very closely with the treasurer and experienced all phases of cash management, forecasting, accounts payable, cost accounting and compliance. I was the first in the company to implement the concept of “job sharing” between employees who were starting to raise their families.

Seeking to expand my areas of expertise and further utilize my leadership skills, I left banking to head up a large tax practice which had been established by an attorney and a mortgage broker. At the same time, requests began coming my way from various small business owners, to assist with their administrative and accounting work. My sharp attention to detail and strong organizational skills combined with my financial training has proven invaluable to small business owners from dry cleaners, to real estate brokers, doctors and attorneys. Most of the work is performed from my home office, which is where I can be most productive. It became apparent that with the use of phone, fax and email, virtual services were not only possible but extremely effective, so I created Chelsea Virtual.

When I’m not working, I am an avid tennis player, a wife and mother of three. I enjoy watching my sons play sports and my daughter dance. While two are away at college now, my ninth grader keeps me going from football season to basketball to lacrosse.
